The Thomas Hardye School

RVS Tea Party 2017 at the Thomas Hardye School

Big Brew

On 23rd March, the fifth annual RVS Tea Party was held at the Sixth Form Centre of the Thomas Hardye School in Dorchester. 20 Royal Voluntary Service volunteers, clients and supporters attended, and were made welcome and looked after by a group of largely year 12 students supported by Mrs Buck. The Sixth Form common room was beautifully decorated with balloons and flowers, and a large spread of cakes and other refreshments were provided and served by the students.

There was brilliant musical entertainment provided by Sophie Mullender and Alfie Neale  as well as a game of Bingo for the guests to enjoy. But best of all were the conversations that took place between old and young, and all the smiling faces around the room showed how successful this event has been.

The Mayor and Mayoress also attended, and Mayor Tim Harries thanked the students and the school for all their efforts to make this event possible.
