Newly qualified Cadet Instructors put through their paces

11 CCF senior cadets and junior NCOs from both the Army and RAF sections, were put through their paces recently during a Cadet Forces Instructional Technique (CFIT) course at Blandford Garrison.

Aspects of the course involve leadership and pedagogical theory, lesson planning and practical assessments.  Newly appointed Contingent Commander, Capt. Kevin Matthews said ‘the CFIT course helps to develop senior cadets and junior NCOs into better communicators, creative and critical thinkers, develops their confidence and leadership skills and brings them out of their comfort zone in a progressive and constructive way.

We had some really positive outcomes over the duration of the course and that is very promising for the future of the CCF’.
