Human Rights lawyer speaks to Sixth Form

Sir Clive and students

On 18th October The Thomas Hardye Sixth Form were pleased to host human rights lawyer Clive Stafford-Smith. Clive spoke to Year 12 about their ambitions and then went on to discuss his Post Mortem project investigating and revealing innocent people who have been executed. The films that he is creating will eventually be shown on Netflix. He finished by exploring the work he has done representing people on death row, in Guantanamo Bay and more generally those who have been victims of injustice.

Clive’s charity Reprieve do amazing humanitarian work and the students left the talk very keen to take an active part in Clive’s latest project. We thank him for once more taking time out to visit us
