The Thomas Hardye School

Thomas Hardye students retain maths competition prize

Maths winners

In November two teams of sixth formers took part in the Ritangle Maths Competition. The teams had to answers a new question each day for 25 days, then complete a final set of questions against the clock. The students had to solve complex problems, write computer programs and had a brilliant day working together on the final problems.

550 schools across the world took part, and we are delighted that our year 12 team submitted the first correct entry. They will receive a hamper of maths-related prizes from the organisers and they look forward to taking part next year. The competition has only been running for 3 years and last year our team also won, so we are very proud of the students who took part.
