After two years of work and dedication, both inside and outside of the classroom, all ten Year 11 ‘Skills for Life’ students received their Asdan CoPE (Certificate of Personal Effectiveness) Level 1 certificates.
The Certificate is a nationally recognised qualification, which offers ways of accrediting young people's activities. It promotes and allows a wide range of personal qualities, abilities and achievements of young people, as well as introducing them to new activities and challenges.
It is evidence of the key skills they have demonstrated during the course, such as problem solving, research and working with others. All skills that are transferable to other situations.
Outside of the classroom the students have participated in a wide range of outdoor education activities, undertaken volunteering at RSPB, Arne, Wareham, and had a week’s work experience.
We wish all the students well in the next stages of their education and future life.
