Amélie Nixon, of Year 11, recently won 1st prize in a national writing competition.

The Canterbury Tales Writing Competition, organised by the Chaucer Heritage Trust, is open nationally to students from all ages from 5 to 19 and the theme of this year’s competition was ‘Magic and Trickery’.

Huge congratulations to Amélie on her winning entry of a poem entitled ‘Mama’ who not only won herself some money for this entry, but also won the school’s library £1000!
