The Thomas Hardye School

Futures support for Sixth Form Students

Kate Gamston

On Tuesday 1st October, we were pleased to welcome Katie Gamston, student recruitment officer at Cardiff Metropolitan University.
Katie visited the Sixth Form to support Year 13 students with their personal statements, delivering a talk in the morning before providing one-to-one support throughout the day.

The visit is part of the dedicated programme of futures events organised for Sixth Form students to support them in planning and preparing for their next step.

The new ‘futures hub’ is located opposite the sixth form canteen.
If you are in Year 12 or 13 and want information or advice about universities, apprenticeships or other career options, you can drop in for a chat with a member of the futures team.

  • Mrs Stafford oversees the futures programme and is responsible for early applicants.
  • Mrs Campbell is responsible for apprenticeships.
  • Mr Ayre is responsible for universities.

You can find us opposite the sixth form canteen.
Feel free to drop in during any of the yellow slots below and someone will be available to talk to you.
However, if these times are not convenient, you can email us and we can arrange another time to meet.
