The Thomas Hardye School

A New University in London.

LIS Visit

On Thursday 17th October Sixth Form welcomed Imogen Pemberton from The London Interdisciplinary School a new University setting up for its first degree cohort in 2020. Imogen spoke about how the fourth industrial revolution is about to remake the world of work. She went on to explore how complex problem solving is one of the most in demand skills required according to the World Economic Forum.

Finally we discussed why we need to bring our learning from different disciplines together if we're going to be great problem solvers and innovators. It was a great introduction to what is meant by interdiscipliniarity and the future of higher education.
