Students attend Amnesty International Event

Amnesty Event

On Tuesday 5th November, 15 members of The Thomas Hardye School Sixth Form attended Amnesty International’s Stand Up! Human Rights Conference at Talbot Heath School in Bournemouth.

During the course of the day students attended workshops on LGBTQ Rights, Climate Change, Women’s Rights, Human Trafficking and the Refugee Crisis. It was a great opportunity to interact with and discuss these issues with other students from the Dorset area. Students finished the day with a renewed understanding of Amnesty International’s work and with enriched enthusiasm to engage with and confront the big issues that face us today.
