NATIONAL SCHOOL EQUSTRIAN ASSOCIATION, NATIONAL  CHAMPIONSHIPS
ADDINGTON EQUESTRIAN CENTRE 17th – 20th October 2019

Nationals

After a very successful year competing in qualifiers for the NSEA Championships five team members of Molly Russell,  Isobel Whitty, Zoe Kibbey, Molly Hayward and Imogen Cole-Holland made the trip to Addington EC near Milton Keynes to compete in six championship classes.  These included 85cm 95cm 1mtr Show Jumping and 85cm & 95 cm Jumping with Style and team and individual dressage classes.

Our dressage team of Molly Hayward, Molly Russell, Zoe Kibbey & Imogen Cole-Holland rode some inspiring tests to finish in 10th place out of 35 teams.  Imogen also enjoyed individual success in the Prelim class and finished in  6th place nationally.

The JWS classes as always saw some testing courses with all riders putting in strong performances.

The 95 show jumping team of Molly Russell, Molly Hayward, Zoe Kibbey & Isobel Whitty jumped four fantastic and fast clear rounds in the first round of this competition to finish 2nd from 55 teams that came forward.  The first 8 teams from the first round then go forward to the evening performance which is a straight jump off against the clock over a bigger track which resulted in the team finishing in 4th place nationally.  An outstanding result against some very hot competition.

Well done to all our riders and their support teams for representing Thomas Hardye School during this year, the results at the championships proved it has been one of our most successful and I very much look forward to 2020.

Sue Russell
