Using Exclamation Marks

To show anger:

“I hate you!”

To show joy:

“Those flowers are so lovely!”

To show surpriseĀ  or excitement:

“I can’t believe that you came first!”

To ask for help:

“Please help me!”

We also often use exclamation marks after one word or after a short word.

“Oh! I’m so disappointed.”

Or “Wonderful! Just what we needed!”
