The sixth form team at Thomas Hardye is committed to supporting students by providing high-quality advice on all aspects of the university admissions process.
Despite the current lockdown, many of our planned events are still going ahead virtually. This week 90 students and parents attended an online presentation for year 9 students on higher education and universities.
On our return to school in September it was essential for all clubs and extracurricular activities to be stopped. This is a problem for students who enjoy the challenges and building skills that clubs provide.
Year 12 Thomas Hardye student Jess Mead has been awarded prestigious Arkwright Scholarship.This year only 350 such scholarships were made to Year 12 students nationally.
A team of four talented Year 10 students were awarded certificates and the school presented with a iPad for being runners up in UKNEST’s ship design competition.

The Thomas Hardye School welcomed back their Year 11 cohort to collect their GCSE results. There was widespread relief that the chaos surrounding last week’s A level results was not repeated.
At The Thomas Hardye School, students were invited into school to collect their results. The vast majority of students were able to access their first choice of university or apprenticeship, including Oxbridge places.
For two weeks in June a group of eleven Year 12 students from Thomas Hardye School (THS) joined BAE Systems Dorchester on a Virtual Work Experience Programme.
